“Sabi” or “Wabi-Sabi” means things whose beauty stems from age. It refers to a patina of age and the concept that changes due to use make an object more beautiful and valuable. Aesthetically, principles include asymmetry, roughness, simplicity, economy, austerity, modesty, intimacy, and the appreciation of both natural objects and the forces of nature.
